The
beautifully converted barn house accommodation comprises fully fitted kitchen, one double bedroom, one
bedroom with 2 single beds, WC, shower, lounge with English TV and
DVD with extensive movie library.
All bed linen is supplied. The fully fitted kitchen has all the
kitchenware, cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave etc. The lounge
has wide screen TV with English channels like BBC and DVD player
with extensive DVD movie library. The only item not supplied are
bath towels.

We supply all
anglers with a large unhooking mat and weigh sling. We also
supply 5 kilos of top quality pellet to each angler. These
are fed to the fish year round.
Six leg
bedchairs and one man bivvies are available to hire. The
cost is £50. This is for both items per angler per week
.

boating, swimming, and sunbathing, all just 5 minutes away. See

Limoges in the Limousin
region of France is well-known for its porcelain and enamels, this
region of France borders the Dordogne and the Loire Valley.
It is beneficial to have your own transport particularly if you would
like to discover more places of interest and
visitor attractions
in the surrounding areas.
The Gothic style Cathédrale St-Etienne dominates the city it was
started in the 13th century and added to over the centuries, it has
many examples of Romanesque art. It is well worth visiting. One of the
best museums in the city is the Musée Muncipal de I’ Évêché with one
of the largest collections of enamel ware. Some of these examples date
back to the 12th century. It also has an excellent collection of
Egyptian archaeology and a collection of paintings.
A place to visit where you can relax, have a stroll are the Évêché
Gardens, you can enjoy tree-lined walks, admire the lovely flower beds
and see thousands of plant species in the botanical gardens from five
continents. This garden is one of Limoges most beautiful parks; there
are others to visit if you wish also.
If you are interested in porcelain and the processes involved in
making the products you should visit the Musée Adrien-Dubouché, as
well as displaying local goods it has china, porcelain, pottery and
stoneware from around the world. The museum became a national museum
in the 19th century and has the biggest public collection of porcelain
in the city.
As you wander around exploring Limoges you will see lovely old
buildings you can call at the Tourist Office for details of any
organized tours they may have on offer and details of various visitor
attractions that may interest you personally.
You will find a wealth of places to eat and most are good value, in
the summer months you can sit out and enjoy your refreshments. There
are some fine restaurants, music cafés and bars for your evening
entertainment. Another place you might like to see is the Church of
St.-Michel-des-lions built in the 14th and 15th centuries, there are
two stunning 15th century windows inside.
There are many places you might like to visit within easy reach of
Limoges. About 25km away is the village of Oradour-Sur-Glane this is
the place where 642 inhabitants were killed by the Nazis on the 10th
June 1944 the village has been conserved as a memorial and an
important reminder of mans atrocities.
The village still stands as the soldiers left it long ago. There are
buses from Limoges to Oradour.
Approximately 45km to the west of Limoges is the very attractive
walled town of Rochechouart and is worth visiting if you are exploring
the area, and nearby at Chassenon call and see the Roman Baths, there
are some original floor tiles and the intricate piping system which is
worth seeing. You should find many places of interest to enjoy on your
holiday break in this area of France.
